Here is my rough draft for “The Cat Women of the Antique Shop” a tentative title for my remake of “The Cat Women from Channel Six.” Things I am currently unsure about, and need advice about, are the names of the Turtle Killers, April’s way of finding Baxter, some of the dialogue, and Casey leaving the turtles. Also, I am unsure on the scene switches, and second TF scenes.
It takes place sometime before the first battle with Shredder.
The Cat Women of the Antique Shop
A dark evil walked the streets. The figure was named Oroku Saki, and his destination was a warehouse near the wharf. He was escorted by a large, mountainous man known as Hun. Inside the warehouse, was Baxter Stockman, working on a strange machine. There was also a stray cat poking around, but Baxter was ignoring it.
Saki stared directly at Dr. Stockman. He asked, “Why did you refuse to come to the main base, and request that I come here to talk to you?”
Baxter straightened up. As he straightened, he revealed his right hand, which was now mechanical. He turned to Saki. He explained, “Well, I simply was unable to leave my current project. I am sure you will like it, and another, secondary project I am developing.”
Saki’s expression did not change. “I hope, for your sake, that I do like it. Otherwise, next time, I may have Hun take more than your eye.”
Baxter gulped, and one of his hands went towards the blackened patch on one side of his glasses. “I won’t disappoint you, sir.”
Baxter walked to the center of the large, circular device, and motioned around himself. “This device is a matter transporter. It allows any person to be teleported from one location to another. Also, it allows someone who has already been teleported to teleport back here. It would allow quick infiltration of pretty much anywhere, and instant retreats if a person is in danger.”
Hun, who was leaning against the control panel, smiled. “I know a perfect use for this device.”
“What?”
Hun pressed a few buttons on the control panel. “Getting rid of trash like you.”
Baxter disappeared, then reappeared in the city dump. He fell to the ground with a thump. He sat down, and looked around.
“Well, I appear to be stuck in a junkyard, thanks to Hun. Well, I guess I will have to wait until Saki brings me back. He wouldn’t dare abandon someone of my scientific genius. I will just have to entertain myself until they pick me up.”
Baxter than sat down, put his fingers out in front of them, and quickly moved them together, in an attempt to make his fingertips touch. Unfortunately, due to his missing eye, he had no depth perception, and he missed.
“Darn.”
He tried again, and still missed.”
“Darn.”
Again.
“Darn.”
And, yet again.
“Hey, they touched.”
Sure enough, Baxter had gotten his fingers to touch. However, the minute they touched, the ground dropped from under him, sending him falling into the sewers. Equally unfortunate, he happened to be dropped into the path of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The Turtles put the brakes on their Shell Cycles, as Baxter came flying out of one of the sewer pipes. Raphiel was the first to get off his cycle, and the first to address the one-eyed madman.
Raphael twirled his twin sai as he taunted, “Hey, Baxter, what are you doing here in the sewers. Haven’t seen you seen you tried to blow us up.”
Baxter began backing up slowly.
Leonardo stepped forward. “There were some questions we wanted to ask you.”
Donatello was next. “For instance, who do you work for.”
Michelangelo was last. “I was wondering where you got that neat eye-patch.”
Raphael glared at Michelangelo. “Stop being an idiot.” He then turned back to Baxter, and twirled his sai.
In that instant, Baxter Stockman disappeared.
He reappeared in room with the teleporter. A grumbling Hun was standing behind the control panel. An annoyed looking Oroku Saki was standing to the side, watching the teleporter.
Baxter fell to the ground, panting. He looked up at Saki, who had walked forward, and was now standing over him. He latched onto Saki’s leg. “Thank you sir, you saved me, the turtles, they were about to…”
Saki reached down, and picked up Baxter by the scruff of his shirt. “You saw the turtles.”
“Yes. They were in the sewers.”
Saki dropped Baxter on the ground. “Well, this is interesting. Return to my headquarters. We can talk over things.”
Meanwhile, April O’Neil was at her apartment, lying on her bed, wearing her usual brown pants, with a purple shirt, and an exposed navel. She was trimming her fingernails, when she heard knock at the door. She walked towards the door, and opened it, revealing the TMNT standing there. She asked, “What’re you guys doing here?”
Leonardo explained, “We found Baxter Stockman hanging around in the sewers.”
April’s eyes opened wide. She opened her mouth, but no sound came out. She gulped twice, and then shook her head. She took a deep breath. “Baxter Stockman’s back?”
Lenoardo continued. “We figured you should know he was back in town. Seeing as you used to work for him.”
Donatello interrupted, “We also wanted to warn you, in case he decided to go after you. He did try to kill you, after you found out his secrets.”
April took another deep breath. “Thanks for warning me. That’s really nice of you guys.”
Mikey nodded. “You’re welcome. As thanks all we would ask for is some pizza.”
April laughed. “Of course you can have some pizza. Come on in. I’m just hanging out up here. Casey’s downstairs, minding the shop.”
They walked in the house, as April stood to the side of the doorway, thinking.
A few hours later, the turtles had left, with the apartment a mess. They’d even invited Casey upstairs, as well. April shook her head. “Those guys…”
She walked over to the closet, and opened it. She reached in, and pulled out the vacuum cleaner. As she pulled it out, she noticed a box in the back of her closet. She looked at the box, and pulled it out. She opened it. The box was filled with files related to her old job as a lab assistant to Baxter Stockman.
April looked through the files. Most of the files were blueprints. One of the files showed the Mouser’s AI, and another was a detailed formula for their jaw.
April sighed, as she remembered the Mousers attacking her. “I can’t believe I helped him develop those, those…Monsters!”
As she looked through, she noticed that one of the files was given to her by Baxter. It was a file for the legs. She’d taken it home to work on, in a folder he’d given her. Out of the folder, a sheet of paper fell. April picked up the paper, and looked at it. It was blank. She sighed, and put it on the table, close to the lamp. She put the box up, and began cleaning up the room.
An hour later, April was done cleaning the room. She looked around, and noticed she had left the paper next to the lamp. She picked it up, and blinked. On the paper, there was some faint writing. “Invisible ink?” She put the paper close to the lamp, and watched as words began to appear on it.
She smiled. “Never thought that anyone actually wrote codes in lemon juice.”
She looked over the paper. It was marked, “Spare Bases.” On it, was a series of addresses.
April smiled to herself. “This must be a bunch of Baxter’s addresses. I better tell the Turtles, or Casey, or the police…”
She thought to herself. “Wait a minute. I’m a big girl. I could handle it myself. All I’d need to do is check to see if he’s at one of these addresses, then call the police.”
She walked downstairs, holding the paper in her hand. As she walked into the antique shop, she saw Casey at the register. He turned to her, and asked, “So, April, how’s your break been.”
April shrugged. “Fine. Thanks for minding the shop for me, so I could just goof around upstairs for a day.”
Casey smiled. “Ah. It was nothing.” It’s just…” Casey paused for a minute. “Could you take over now?”
“Just let me run this one errand, and then I’ll be able to take over. Is that OK?”
Casey sighed, “I guess.” He turned around, and began muttering to himself. “There goes patrolling tonight. Guess I won’t be able to rough up any stupid…”
April walked towards the door, and was just about to leave, when Casey yelled, “Hey April! I forgot something!”
April turned around. “What?”
“We had a customer. He bought some blue vase. I sold it too him for about five bucks.”
April thought for a minute. She asked, “Wait…blue vase. The blue one with the flowers all over it?”
“Yeah, that one. It was kinda cheesy looking.”
April’s eyes opened wide. She yelled, “THAT WAS WORTH FIFTY DOLLARS!”
Casey threw up his hands, “Wow! Easy there. It was an honest mistake! I mean, it’s not like it was marked or anything.”
April sighed. “It wasn’t marked, but I DID have a binder with all the prices on it, which I pointed out to you, under the register.”
Casey shrugged. “Oops.”
April shook
her head, and walked out the door. She thought to herself. “You know, maybe
I should mark some of the stuff. It would make selling it a bit easier.”
Meanwhile, in a large tower near the center of town, Oroku Saki was sitting on his throne, with Hun standing by his right side.
Baxter was standing in front of a large red curtain. He adjusted his collar, and announced, “Behind this curtain is the most important part of my second new invention.” He pulled the curtain to the side, revealing a cage with a large tiger in it. It was a relatively large cage, with a door on the side. There was nothing else behind the curtain.
Hun shook his head. “What sort of an invention is an ordinary tiger. You can get one at the zoo.”
Baxter retorted, “The tiger is not the invention. The invention is this!” He held up a syringe filled with a clear liquid.
Hun taunted, “Sterilized needles? Water?”
Baxter glared at the mountain-like warrior. “No.” He turned to a nearby ninja, and whispered in his ear. The ninja nodded, walked over to the tiger, and quickly reached his hand into the cage, injected the tiger with the syringe, and then pulled his hand back. The ninja then bowed, and faded into the shadows.
The tiger, staggered a bit, then fell silent, and stood straight up, unmoving.
Baxter walked over to the cage door, and threw it open. Oroku’s eyes opened a bit wider, and Hun took a step back. The tiger, however, remained totally unmoving.
Baxter turned to the cage, and said, “Walk.” The tiger then walked out of the cage.
“Roll over.” The tiger rolled over, much like a dog.
“Sit.” The tiger sat down.
Baxter then turned to Oroku Saki. “The tiger is now under my complete control. It will do anything I say, even if I command it to kill itself.”
Oroku Saki smiled, “This invention seems rather…useful. Does it work on humans?”
Baxter shook his head, “No. I have not yet managed to adapt it to a human’s advanced mind. However, it is 100% effective in all test animals. In a few weeks, I should be able to test it on humans”
Saki nodded. “Very well. Your invention has merit. I will let you continue.”
Baxter bowed down. “Thank you. However, I need one thing to continue.”
“What?”
“Better security at my base. I am afraid someone might invade…”
At his base, his fears were coming true, as April O’Neil walked through the front door. She then blinked, as she found herself staring at a huge teleporter.
She walked over to the teleporter, and began looking around the area. As she looked around, she heard a faint purring.
April looked down, and saw a orange and white striped cat rubbing up against her leg. She bent down, and petted the cat for a bit, then stood up.
The cat wandered off, while April walked around, looking for evidence of Baxter’s involvement. As she looked around, she stepped onto the teleporter pad.
Unfortunately, while she was standing on the teleporter pad, the cat walked right across the control panel, and then right up to April. The cat rubbed up against April’s leg again. Before April could do anything, the machine began to whir, and then April and the cat both disappeared.
They reappeared five meters to the left. April looked around, while the cat quickly ran away. April muttered to herself, “A teleporter?”
April shook her head. Things seemed different to her. There was a strange metallic scent in the air, and an annoying buzz she hadn’t heard before. She put her hand to her head, and ran it threw her hair. She then jerked back, because she had felt something poke her.
April looked at her hands. Her fingernails were longer, and sharper. She yelled out-loud, “What’s happening to me!”
Only silence answered her.
Casey was sweeping some broken pieces of glass into a trash bin when April staggered in. She collapsed into a nearby chair.
Casey turned to her, and asked, “Hey April, what’s going on. You don’t look too good.”
April sighed. “I found out where Baxter’s headquarters is.”
Casey thought for a minute. “Isn’t Baxter that crazy scientist you used to work for? And the turtles recently fought with in the sewers?”
April nodded. “Yeah. Anyway, I got to his place, some warehouse down at the wharf, and something happened with this crazy teleporter. This cat activated it, and then jumped towards me, and then…well, next thing I know, my finger-nails are really long, and everything is louderrrrr.”
Casey blinked, “April?”
April got up, pushing Casey to the side. “I’m fine. Just purrrfect.” She then dropped to her knees. Casey stepped back, as April began to change.
Red fur began to sprout all over April’s body. She clutched her head in pain, and snapped her hair-band, letting loose her long red hair. She watching in horror as her hands began to thicken, and become more like paws. She watched as her fingernails, already lengthened, changed into retractable claws. She felt her shoes rip as her feet transformed into paws. Her tail ripped through her pants. She felt her teeth shift into fangs, as her ears transformed, become triangular, and moving to the top of her head. Her nose turned pink, and became triangular, while her face pushed out into a muzzle.
She stood up, her new body unfamiliar to her. She looked over herself. Her vocal cords unfamiliar to her, she said, “The…teleporter. It…trrrranssssformed meeeeow. I’m a, a, a, monsterrr.”
Casey gulped. “Um…April, maybe we should go see the Turtles about this. I mean, they’re probably familiar with being…umm…”
April filled in, “Mutants. Freaks. Outcasts.” She shook her head. “I can’t live like this. I have to find Baxterrr. I have to reverrrrse this.”
She pushed Casey aside, then jumped, forwards, running on all fours. She was out the door by the time Casey hit the ground.
Casey cursed, got up, and ran outside. He looked around the street, but could see no sign of April. Then he looked down, and saw a closed manhole. He walked to the manhole, picked it up, and jumped in.
At the TMNT headquarters, everyone was just sitting around, and relaxing. Mikey was watching TV, Donatello was working on the Shell Cycle, Raphiel was working out on the punching bag, and Leonardo was meditating. Splinter was in his room, the door shut, deep in meditation.
This peaceful night was interrupted when Casey burst through the door, and yelled, “Guys, April’s in trouble!”
Leonardo’s eyes snapped open. Donatello dropped the wrench he was currently holding. Raphiel turned around, and was promptly walloped on the back of his head by the punching bag. Mikey, however, simply turned around, and kept looking back at the movie.
Leo was the first to react understandably. He quickly asked, “What happened to April? Is she hurt?”
Casey scratched his head. “I’m really not sure what happened. She came into the store, and she was looking a bit weird. When she came in, she said something about Baxter…”
Raphiel interrupted, “Baxter? What’s that mad scientist done to her?”
“Apparently, he built a teleporter thing, and when she got to it, she and a cat got in at the same time. When she was at the shop, she started mutating into a cat creature. She ran out. I lost her, and then I came here.”
Donatello said, “I think it is possible that, if two beings were in a teleporter at the same time, it is possible that their molecular structures, or their DNA, could get blended together. If that was the case, it is possible that their genetic structure could become unstable, and part of the new DNA would replace the old. Of course, some theories state that the resulting mixture would be even more unstable, and the person would simply revert after some time has passed, but that has not been proven…”
Mikey, thankfully, interrupted Donatello’s discourse. “Hey, guys. That’s the plot of the movie I’m watching right now!”
Casey looked at Mikey. “What was the ending?” Everyone else than looked at Mikey.
Mikey blinked. “Um…well…he kinda got trapped in a web, then the spider came, and he was screaming “HELP ME!” and then…”
Everyone had VERY wide eyes. Leo gulped, “Um…can we go find April, fast.”
Casey nodded. “Yeah. I just have to stop by the Antique Shop. I left my mask, and equipment there.”
The Turtles nodded, and rushed out of the base.
Meanwhile, April had reached the warehouse. She slowly snuck in, creeping through the shadows. She ducked behind the door, and peeked inside.
Baxter was inside, his back turned, working on the teleporter’s control panel. His head was actually inside the control panel, fiddling with wiring or something.
April stood up straight, and took a deep breath. She walked into the warehouse, walked to Baxter, and stood behind him. “Hello.”
Baxter jerked up, and bopped his head on the control panel. He began to turn around. “Excuse me, I asked not to be dis…turb…ed.”
April smiled, revealing sharp teeth. “Meow.”
Baxter’s eyes grew wide. “APRIL! What happened to you?”
April
brought a hand up, and unsheathed her claws. “Your crazy teleporter did this to
me!”
An expression of shock filled
Baxter’s face. “What!?” My teleporter couldn’t do anything like that? Unless…”
“Unless what?”
Baxter shook his head. “I don’t know.” His eyes wandered behind April. “Look, please don’t blame me. It was just an unfortunate accident. Besides, we used to work together? Why can’t we work together again?”
April glared at him. “You tried to kill me.”
Baxter shrugged. “I’m sorry? It was a necessity. You learned too much. Besides, I can assure you it’ll never happen again.”
April glared at him. “How do I know you aren’t lying?”
Scorn filled Baxter’s face. “Because you’re more valuable to me alive.”
Confusion filled April’s face, right before she fell to the ground, unconscious. Behind her the Foot ninja put his bo staff down, and stood at attention
Baxter stood up, and adjusted his shirt. “Well. I assume you are here to protect me?” The Foot ninja nodded. “Well, good job. Now, we have…work…to do.”
Back in front of the Antique Shop, Casey opened the manhole, looked around, then motioned for everyone to come. He stepped out, and was soon followed by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Casey walked to the door of the shop, and then blinked at the site he saw.
Inside there was a catgirl. Covered in orange and white spotted fur from head to toe, with cat-ears, a tail, paws, the whole thing. Oh, and also, completely naked from head to toe. Of course, there was fur covering all the important parts, but still…
Casey blinked. “Um…agebada. Hugewabida.”
The TMNT pushed Casey forwards, and stepped into the shop. They stared.
Raphiel was the first to recover. He asked, “April?”
The catgirl wrinkled her short snout. “I don’t know any April.”
Leo whispered to Mikey and Don. “This must be the cat that April saw.”
Casey shook his head, and blinked twice. He asked, “What’s your name?”
The catgirl shrugged, “Don’t got one. Guess you could call me Cat, if ya want.”
Raphiel asked, “What’re you doing?”
Cat shrugged, “I don’t know. This place just seems…right. That, and I had the sudden urge to put some price tags on this stuff.” She pointed a claw at the pots, jars, and paintings.
Casey snapped his fingers. “Hey! I told April to price some of the stuff.”
Donatello’s eyes widened, “Uh oh. The teleporter must have transferred some memories between April and Cat. If so, April’s mind and Cat’s mind would be fighting for dominance. She’d be mentally unstable. There’s no telling what she could do.”
Leonardo nodded. “In that case, we have to find her, now. Raphiel, Casey, come on.”
Raphiel, and Casey, were both stuck in in-depth conversation with Cat, who was showing off her claws. They both sighed. Raphiel walked towards Leo, while Casey stayed behind for a second.
Casey turned to Cat. “Hey, um, after I help these guys save their friend, how about you and I meet up?”
Cat nodded. “And, to make sure I find you, if you take to long…” She leaned towards Casey’s neck, and took a deep breath in from her nose. “I’ve got your scent, and I’ll never forget it.”
Casey then went to follow the Turtles, though he had a goofy look on his face.
Back at Baxter’s hideout, April was regaining conciousness. She shook her head. “Where am I?” She opened her eyes. She was in a cage. And outside it, was Baxter Stockman.
April growled at him, and leaped at the cage. She pushed against it, but it didn’t give. Then she swiped at him through the bars. But he simply took a step back.
Baxter looked at her. “April, April, April. I expected more of you. That cage was designed for a tiger. You can’t get out.”
April glared at him. “Why am I here?”
Baxter cleared his throat. “Well, your…accident with my teleporter had some interesting consequences…”
“I couldn’t very well miss being turned into a cat creature, could I?”
Baxter sighed. “Yes. That was the OBVIOUS consequence. However, another interesting consequence is that your mind has apparently been affected, as well as your body.”
“My…mind?”
“Yes, your mind, and portions of the mind of the cat you were merged with, are fighting for dominance. I suspect that is why you were rash enough to THINK you could sneak into my head-quarters undetected. I, the great Baxter Stockman, creator of the Mousers, the Cyborg Foot, and the Matter Transformer…”
“Matter…Transformer? Don’t you mean Teleporter?”
“No, Transformer. You have shown me an…interesting new idea. But that’s not important to you. Especially since I also have an Animal Control Serum. Your mind may be regaining dominance, but I should be able to control you.”
“CONTROL ME!”
April staggered back in shock. She bumped into the back wall of the cage, and felt something poke into her back. She turned back, and saw a Foot ninja standing there, holding a hypodermic needle. Everything began to get spin. April could feel something pressing into her head. She couldn’t think. Her limbs wouldn’t respond. She fell to the ground, clutching her head. She let out a scream, which stopped suddenly.
She arose to her feet, her eyes staring blankly ahead.
Baxter smiled. “April. Who do you serve?”
April, still staring blankly, monotoned. “Baxter Stockman.”
“What will you do?”
“Whatever you say.”
“Good.” He motioned for the cage to be opened. “Now, step out of the cage.”
She stepped out off the cage.
“Now, go to the hideout of those turtles, and kill them, and anyone else who dares defy me. Then, return here.”
“Yes, master.” April began walking towards the hideout, slightly zombie-like in her movements.
Baxter yelled out. “And don’t be so zombie-like. It’s slightly annoying.”
April stopped in mid-step, then got down on all fours, and leapt off into the night.
Baxter smiled. “Now, all I have to do is wait.” His insane laughter filled the night.
Back outside, the turtles had just arrived at the wharf.
Leonardo held up a hand, “Hold on. I just realized something.”
Casey, who was taking the lead, turned around. “What?”
“Well, I just realized something. What if Baxter attacks the headquarters? If he has any mousers left, he could send them after Splinter. We need somebody to head back home. Casey, can you do it?”
Casey turned around, “What? I want to find April as much as any of you guys!”
“Yes, but you’re the only one without formal training. Somebody has too guard H.Q.”
“Look, give me one good reason I should guard your HQ.”
Raphael explained, “Well, you’ll probably get to fight off some killer robots, while we get the sissy mad scientist.”
Donatello added. “Also, if April changed her mind, she might head back to the Headquarters.”
Mickey finished, “Oh, and you get to hang out with Cat.”
Casey sighed, “Okay. I’ll go back to the headquarters.”
Casey walked back towards the headquarters, while the Turtles ran towards Baxter.
None of them noticed a catlike figure jumping across the rooftops.
Back at the warehouse, Baxter was leaning back in a chair near the control console. He had a magazine over his head, and was snoring gently.
Then the door burst open, and the Turtles leaped in. Leo yelled, “Baxter, we’re here to stop you.”
Baxter jumped up. He took one look at the turtle, and rolled his eyes. “Ah yes, you’re here to stop my matter teleporter, and rescue your friend April, who foolishly went after me, and got herself captured.”
Mikey spoke up. “Actually, we weren’t sure if you’d captured April, or not. OW!” The “Ow” was caused by Raphael stomping forcefully on Mikey’s foot.
Baxter shook his head. “I can’t believe I lost to you fools.”
Raphael countered. “Mikey’s the only fool here.”
The aforementioned fool agreed. “Raph’s right. I’m the only fool…HEY!”
Baxter turned to the console, and calmly tapped out a simple command. The teleporter glowed as four Foot ninjas appeared in the center. Each was armed with a weapon. One had a katana, one had a Bo staff, one had a pair of Sai, and the other had Nunchaku. Each also had a badge, with a crossed out turtle on it.
Baxter turned to the turtles. “Behold, the four greatest ninja the Foot has produced. Each is a master of one of YOUR weapons. I call them…the Turtle Killers.”
Katana turned to Baxter. “We will be happy to dispose of these mutants for you.” When he said “Mutant” he filled it with scorn, and hate.”
The turtles drew their weapons, and readied for battle.
Baxter took a few steps backwards, getting away from the soon-to-be combatants.
The four Turtle Killers leaped forwards, each landing next to a turtle.
Katana leaped forwards with a jumping attack. Leo blocked, but the force of the blow knocked him to the ground. Leo got up, and the two began a series of quick slashs, parries, strikes, and counter strikes, almost too fast for the human eye to follow.
Sai landed in front of Raphael. He stabbed forwards at Raphael’s heart, attempting to end the fight in one blow. Raphael spun to the side, and stabbed at Sai’s heart. Sai stopped Raph’s strike with his own weapon. From under Sai’s face mask, Raphael saw the hint of a smile. Raphael smiled right back.
Donatello was faced off against Bo. They circled each other, looking for a weakness in the defenses. Donatello, seeing that Bo was holding his staff low, went for an overhead strike. Bo blocked, moving faster than Don had anticipated. He then lifted his foot up, and kicked Donatello in the chest. Donatello was knocked back a step, and winced. Bo spun his staff around once, and assumed a ready stance.
Mikey and Nunchak faced off against each other, each twirling their nunchaku. They each swiped at each other. Their Nunchaku struck. Their Nunchaku locked! They blinked, and looked at each other. “Oops.” They began pulling.
Meanwhile, Casey walked into the antique shop. He looked around. “Hey, Cat? Are you there?”
He looked down, and saw that someone had left a note on the counter. The messily-written note read. “Ot Fur Launch. Be Bck.”
Casey sighed. “Great. Cat’s getting lunch.” His brain caught up with his mouth. “Wait a minute!” Where’s she getting lunch, anyway?”
In a alleyway a couple of blocks down, the afore-mentioned half-feline was holding one of April’s best plates, and putting barely-edible garbage on it.
“Man, this is going to be one of my best lunches in weeks.”
Casey sat down heavily. “Great. Cat’s not even here. Might as well go to the Turtle’s place. Wonder how they’re doing.” Casey kicked open the manhole cover. “Probably having a bunch of fun.”
Raphael was
knocked backwards into a wall, and clutched his gut. “
His opponent twirled his sai. “We were trained specifically to get rid of you. We are each masters of the art of Ninjutsu. Far beyond any you have ever faced. ”
Raphael readied his own sai. “Yeah. But you still suck.”
Sai charged, and Raphael ducked down. Sai began to trip, and for a second, he was directly over Raphael. Raphael jumped up, and smashed Sai in the stomach, with a jumping uppercut. The foot ninja fell to the ground, groaning.
Leonardo’s battle was going just as good. He locked swords, with his own sword on the outside. He then pushed down towards the hilt of his opponent’s sword, flicked his wrists, and slashed Katana’s hand. The ninja’s swords fell to the ground, as he grasped his injured hand. Leo knocked him to the ground with a roundhouse kick.
Donatello twisted to the side, avoiding a thrust by Bo. He then used the opening to whap Bo upside the head, defeating him easily.
As for Mikey, well, he was still trying to untangle his Nunchaku. He pulled, and pulled, and, suddenly, he fell to the ground. He looked at his hands. He was holding Nunchak’s nunchaku, as well as his own. He smiled, and looked at Nunchak. Nunchak held up his hands. “Um…maybe we can negotiate.” Mikey rained a series of punishing blows upon the hapless Foot. “Ow. Hey. Stop it. That hurts!”
Baxter stood calmly as the victorious Turtles surrounded him. Leo stepped forward. “Your minions have lost. Give up April.”
Baxter smiled. “Well, you may have misjudged that. You see. You have yet to see the full power of the Matter Transformer!”
Mikey blinked. “Umm…don’t you mean Matter Teleporter?”
Baxter rolled his eyes. “When I said transformer, I meant transformer.”
“But it doesn’t transform anything.”
“I was getting to that. Look behind you.”
The Turtles looked behind them, and saw something strange. Each of the defeated Foot were beginning to awake stir. But each of them was also beginning to change.
Katana’s muscles began to bulge, as he grew larger. Orange-fur sprouted, and he gained a long, catlike tail. His shoes and gloves were ripped by his growing claws. His mask fell off, revealing a catlike face. His eyes turned glowing yellow, and he stood tall, a powerful Tiger.
Bo’s flesh turned grey, and slowly changed itself into armor-like scales, as his face sprouted a long snout. He hunched over, and clenched his fists, with newly grown claws. He was an Armadillo.
Sai stood up, realizing he was about to transform into something powerful, incredible. He sprouted quills, and a snout, and became a Porcupine.
As for Nunchack, he saw brown fur sprout all over his body, and grew a long, prehensile tail. He felt his shoes tighten, and pulled them off. To his surprise, his feet morphed into hands! He looked over himself, a Monkey warrior.
Mikey blinked. “A tiger I understand, but an armadillo, a porcupine, and a monkey? What sort of zoo did you get these from? And what sort of idiot chooses a porcupine?”
Baxter glared. “I chose these personally, to match the abilities of you four. And a porcupine throws quills!”
Donatello countered. “Um, actually, porcupines do not throw quills. That’s just a silly idea spread by the media. It’s complete fiction.”
Porcupine swept with his arm, and a bunch of quills flew out, and stuck to Donatello’s shell. Donatello turned to him. “Can you please stay out of this.”
Tiger shook his head, and walked over to his katana. He picked it up, and turned to Leo. “Let’s start round two.”
The battle began in earnest. Each was once again matched up against the one with his matching weapon. However, this time, the turtles were outmatched, seriously.
Leo locked swords with Tiger. However, this time, they were clearly not evenly matched. Tiger’s superior strength pushed Leo back. Then, the feline disengaged, and then slashed at Leo, almost too fast for Leo to block. And Tiger wasn’t even trying.
Raphael was suffering, big time. Porcupine simply walked towards him. Raphael stabbed at him, and Porcupine twisted aside. Then he pushed his quilled arm against Raphael’s arm. Raphael screamed in pain, and fell to the side. His arm had a multitude of sharp quills sticking out of it. He got up slowly, pulled the quills out of his arm, then assumed a battle stance again.
Donatello’s battle wasn’t going any better. He faced off against Armadillo. He attacked the warrior with his staff. Armadillo just raised his arm, and blocked. Donatello tried a shot to the skull, but it just bounced off. Armadillo used the opening to smash Donatello’s fragile skull. Donatello hit the ground, hard.
As for Mikey, well, he was getting his shell kicked! The first thing monkey did was pick up his nunchaku from the floor! When Mikey went to strike, the Foot ninja used his lower hands to grab onto Mikey’s wrist. He then grabbed onto Mikey’s other wrist, and pulled Mikey’s wrists together. Mikey was barely able to keep from falling over, much less retaliate. He had only one thing to say, “Um…maybe we can negotiate?” Monkey began the beating. “Ow. Hey. Stop it! That hurts!”
Baxter smiled as he watched his creations battle the turtles. “They are clearly superior in every way. With these people serving me, I could challenge even the great Oroku Saki. All I’d have to do is inject these ninjas with my serum…” He began to laugh madly. Unfortunately, some of the effect was lost, considering that he was hiding behind a console.
Back at the Turtle’s lair, Casey had just arrived. He looked around. The turtle’s home was completely empty. A door in the back was shut. It was Splinter’s room, where he was still deep in meditation.
Casey looked around. “Well, looks like this place is doing fine. Maybe I should watch the tube…”
He heard a faint growling, and turned around. He found himself staring at a pair of glowing green eyes, in the shadows of the sewer behind him. Out of the shadows stepped the hypnotized April O’Neil.
“April? What are you doing here?”
April, not responding raised her claws. Casey’s screams echoed throughout the sewers, then cutoff suddenly.
Back at Baxter’s lair, Raphael was in big trouble. He was hiding behind a console, dodging shots from Porcupine. The console was holding up, but for how long was uncertain.
He looked to the right, and saw that Tiger was still fighting with Leo. Leo was slowly being pushed backwards by the sheer force of Tiger’s assault. Leo backed up, and reached a wall. He moved to block a blow, and his katanas were knocked from his hands. Tiger raised his own katana, ready to strike the final blow.
And dropped them in pain. There was a sai sticking out of his palm. Leo looked over, and saw Raphael behind a console, smiling. Raphael gave Leo a thumbs up, then ducked back behind the console from another assault by Porcupine.
Leo looked over, and saw that Donatello wasn’t doing good. He was staying back from Armadillo, and clutching his injured stomach. Leo yelled out, “Hey, Armadillo, I’ve beat your friend.” He then rushed towards the animalistic ninja.
Armadillo pulled out his staff, and moved to attack. Unfortunately, a wooden staff is NOT a good weapon to use against a sword. One slice, and the two pieces of the ninja’s staff fell to the floor. A single strike with the hilt of Leo’s sword, and Armadillo was out of the fight.
Donatello, breathing heavily, looked over at the Porcupine, who was still attacking Raphael. He ran towards the Foot, and spun his staff around. Porcupine tried to shoot some of his spines, but they were stopped by the spinning staff. Then Don leaped into the air, and struck. Porcupine fell to the ground, unconscious.
Raphael got up, and walked over to Don, who was joined by Leo. “Thanks.”
Don smiled. “Nothing much.”
Leo interrupted. “What about Mikey?”
Michelangelo was still getting bopped by the Nunchaku of Monkey. Monkey was smiling, “Nothing can stop my dreaded…OW!!!” He was suddenly pulled off. He looked around, and saw that the other three turtles were holding him by the tail. He gulped.
He smashed into a wall, hard, and fell unconscious.
Baxter blinked. As he watched his Ninjas fall defeated. He backed up towards the center of the teleporter. He looked towards the four turtles, each brandishing a lethal weapon.
He pulled out a cylinder, with a button on the top. He laughed. “You think you’ve won! I’m on the center of the teleporter. If I press this, I’ll be safe, in the headquarters of the Foot. And then you’ll have to worry about April.”
Leo asked, “Where is she?”
Baxter smiled, “She’s going to find you master. Except, thanks to my rather ingenious control serum, she’s under my control. Hope your master likes a quick death. Bye.” He pressed the button, and disappeared, amidst a faint buzzing.
Right as he disappeared, a sai split the shimmering particles that were left of him. Raphael cursed. The sai hit the control console, which quickly began to sparkle, and then exploded.
The turtles ran out, hoping they could get home before it was too late.
By the time they got home, it appeared it might well be. The headquarters were ransacked, and there was no one in site. There was also shards of something lying on the floor.
They took a step inside, and heard a faint groaning. Lying near the entrance to the lair was Casey Jones, sitting against the wall, clutching his head.
He groaned, “Man. She hits HARD!”
Leo turned to Casey. “What happened. Where’s April?”
Casey passed his hand over his face. “She was the one who hit me! She slashed at me with those claws of hers. Sliced clean through my hockey stick! Then she picked up a lamp, and whopped me upside the head. Was he that mad at me about the vase.”
Leo explained, “She’s under mind control.”
“Oh. That explains why she was talking about Master Stockboy, or something like that.”
Then they heard the sounds of fighting, from above. The turtles looked up, and saw Splinter battling with April, each perched on some of the beams holding the roof up.
As the turtles watched, April slashed at Splinter. Splinter jumped backwards, landing on a beam. Unfortunately, he lost his balance, and fell, crashing through the table in the monitor room. The turtles ran up to him, followed by a weakened and slightly dizzy Casey.
When they got there, Splinter was unconscious, and April had just jumped down. She had her back to the turtles, and her hand raised, ready to slice Splinter in two.
Leo yelled out, “April! Stop!”
April turned to the turtles, and glared at them. There was no recognition whatsoever in her cold, green eyes. She looked back at Splinter, then looked at the Turtles. She stepped towards the turtles, and growled.
Leo looked at her. “April, please. We don’t want to fight you. We’re your friends.”
April glared at him. She looked like she was about to strike, but then she looked confusedShe asked, “Frrriends?” She remembered something, something her being here, drinking tea.
Mikey said, “Yeah. Friends. Remember us goofing around at your house.”
April stepped back. She felt a jolt of pain in her head, as she remembered these people, in her…home. And something about pizza…
Donatello added. “Remember watching me with some of my inventions? We talked about science some.”
April remembered. She remembered looking over Donatello’s shoulder, as he worked on something, some sort of robot. She had made it, but it was bad, somehow. Baxter had made it as well. He was…evil?
Then the thoughts were struck out by a voice in her head. “Go to the turtle’s lair, and kill them. Kill them. KILL THEM!”
April prepared to strike.
Raphael interrupted. “Remember when we saved you butt? You’re gonna attack some guys who saved your life!”
April stopped, her claws out, ready to strike. She wavered.
Casey stepped forward. “April. Don’t.”
She looked at Casey, and then she felt, something. She remembered arguing. She also remembered some…other feeling, she couldn’t describe it. She remembered sparing him, because she felt…
She stopped, and stepped back. Her head was starting to hurt. She clutched at her head. The pain was getting worse. She let out a piercing scream, then collapsed.
“APRIL!!!!”
Then everything went black.
April opened her eyes. She was lying on a bed. She sat up, and shook her head. She then looked over herself. She was human. No tail, no claws, no fur. Just plain, old April O’Neil.
The turtles walked into the room, followed by Casey Jones. Casey was holding an ice pack over his head.
April looked to them, and asked, “What happened?”
Leo asked, “What do you remember?”
April took a deep breath. “I remember going after Baxter, and the teleporter. It’s all vague after that. I remember turning into a cat creature, then I remember attacking Baxter, and then he said something about a serum, and it’s all blank. What happened?”
Raphael explained, “You got put under mind control. You bopped Casey over the head with a vase, and tried to kill Splinter.”
April’s eyes widened. “He made me do that!”
Raphael nodded. “Yeah. But we blew up the teleporter. He escaped though.”
April sighed. “I guess I caused a lot of trouble. I was a bit reckless, going after him. I just…didn’t want him to hurt anyone. I was mad at him for trying to kill me, and for manipulating me, and was afraid he might do something else, something worse. But I shouldn’t have gone after him alone. ”
Leo shook his head. “You couldn’t have known he would do anything like this. He’s insane. And if he shows his face again, we’ll stop him.”
April smiled. “Thanks. Wait, one question, though…Why am I human now?”
Donatello explained. “The transformation was unstable. Your body couldn’t keep the transformed state intact, so you reverted to human. Luckily, the mind control serum didn’t work on humans, so you just got knocked unconscious while your body reverted.”
Casey interrupted. “Look, now that things are back to normal, can I go check on Felicia? I really want to make sure she’s alright.”
Casey heard a faint meowing. He turned around, and saw a small alley cat, with a familiar orange and white fur pattern. He looked at it. “Felicia?”
The cat rubbed up against him. “Meow.”
Everybody looked at him, then the cat, then at him, then laughed. Even April, and Casey joined in after a second. Everything seemed back to normal.
Except for one mad scientist, who had just appeared in the throne room of Oroku Saki.
Baxter looked around. There was a faint buzzing in the air. He looked around, and saw a fly on his arm. He slapped it. When he looked down, he noticed his shadow was engulfed by a larger shadow, of a familiar figure.
He looked backwards. “Oh, hello Hun. ERK!” Hun grabbed him by the neck, and lifted him up.
“Hun, I do not know why you are so mad at me. I have done nothing wrong.”
The voice of Oroku Saki filled the room. “Except failing. And trying to betray me. I had your headquarters bugged, in case of betrayal. Now, prepare to pay the price. Prepare for…punishment.”
Baxter’s
eyes widened in an expression of pure terror. “No. No. No. No.
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
The End
